Photographer Joey Lawrence

Joey Lawrence is a Canadian photographer who achieved impressive success in the industry due to his intense, slick, hyper-real photographic style.
At only 22, he is a young professional. His frames are typically very dramatic, featuring incredible sharpness, clarity and silky-smooth lighting, as well as gritty textures. He uses a variety of studio lights, even in many of his location shots. He also frequently documents a variety of tribes in Africa, living with them from time to time and photographs the adventure, hoping to raise awareness about their struggles.
His work is a big inspiration to me, and I learnt a lot about photographic lighting from studying his work and researching his techniques. His use of lighting, clarity and colour is stunning. I admire the intensity of his visual aesthetic.
