Now, if Hasisi Park’s photos are totally Korean glimpses, then these are some totally Korean (totally powerful) ajumma stares (a very familiar sight to all subway-riders and pedestrians). I am so in love with Hein-kuhn Oh’s photo series from the ’90s. Such a strong, touching vision. He also has series of high school girls in uniform and trendy teenage girls in fashion make-up. He explores Korean femininity throughout ages and decades — no small feat. Wow!
